Phew! I made it on the train from Paris to London. Good thing I gave
myself plenty of time...the process was hectic! This was the first
time that I had to go through customs since I've been traveling
through Europe. It was actually quite comical. The UK customs lady was
not too pleasant, however I couldn't help but to laugh at her sarcasm
(not to her face of course). Hearing her talk to those in front of me
was almost like watching a movie. Also, watching people in the train
terminal with their 20 pieces of luggage was quite laughable as well.
So far, today has been very entertaining.
Anyway, I made it on the train! This is by far the fastest moving
train that I have been on yet and it travels under the ocean! Pretty
amazing! ...
OXFORD here I come! :)
...travel to Oxford continued...
I realized that once I got to the train station in London I had no
clue how to get to Oxford. I figured I would need to take a train or a
subway. Thank goodness for an English speaking country!! It was
somewhat easy to find out how to get to oxford by asking a series of
people and being able to read the signs helped as well! So another
subway ride followed by another train ride it was. Once I get off the
second train I hope my newly aquired map reading skills don't fail me
because that's all I have to get me to the right building (I cant find
the address so GPS won't help this time)! It also looks like it is
going to start pouring any second and is a good 20 degrees cooler than
Paris.
Another adventure begins!
