...the old man is snoring! Last night there was a thunderstorm, louder
than any thunder i have ever heard. When we got up this morning it was
dumping buckets and had dropped from yesterday's 80 degree temperature
to temps in the upper 50's. Strange weather indeed.
The stormy weather prevented us from renting bikes, our original plan,
(and from anything else we wanted to do) and kept us inside most of
the day. :(
I'm hoping for blue skies tomorrow.. We have a lot still to see!
ps..my mosquito bites went from the size of golf balls to miniture
mountains.
Saturday continued...
This night was another adventure..One of the locals at the hostel
recommended a small italian restaurant for dinner. It was a great
suggestion, the food was wonderful and the staff was very helpful and
patient with us. We made the mistake of assuming that the restaurant
took visa and didn't bring a lot of Euro with us. At the end of the
meal we were informed that we could not use our visa card. I thought
for sure we would be washing dishes! Haha. Luckily, the manager was
friendly and headed us in the direction of the bank. We learned our
lesson.. Always have cash.
